To ensure the safety of our students, Gentry Academy require criminal background checks on the following:

  • Any volunteer who accompanies students off campus (i.e., chaperones for field trips).
  • Any volunteer who is responsible for working with students on campus but not under the supervision of a licensed teacher.

Health

The Health Office is located in the Main Office. Gentry Academy contracts with a Licensed School Nurse through Navigate Care who works closely with our staf to meet the health needs of students. We have a unique understanding of students’ physical, social, and emotional needs and the impact those needs have on learning.  Please direct any questions to 651.604.8300

Wellness

Wellness Policy

The purpose of the School Wellness policy to promote school wellness, reduce childhood obesity, and ensure that school meals and other food and beverages sold and otherwise made available on the school campus during the school day are consistent with the applicable local, state, and federal standards.

Wellness Committee

Gentry Academy created a Wellness Committee that is committed to the health and wellness of its students, teachers, and staff. The committee will work together to meet four times each year to discuss and plan how schools can further follow the wellness policy and in turn accomplish its goal of ensuring a school environment that promotes and protects students’ health, well-being and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating and physical activity.

Student-athletes participating in the Minnesota state high school league for an elected sport are restricted from development with their coach in that elected sport during the off-season.
