Gentry Stars Girls Hockey

The Gentry Academy Stars girls hockey program has quickly risen to prominence since its launch in the 2020–2021 school year. In just a few short years, the program has built a reputation for excellence, competing at the highest level and consistently performing on the state stage.

From the very beginning, the Stars made an immediate impact, finishing as the state runner-up in their inaugural season. The following year, Gentry moved up to Class AA and secured a fourth-place finish, continuing to prove they could compete with the top programs in Minnesota. The program reached another milestone in the 2022–2023 season, capturing the MSHSL Class AA State Championship and solidifying its place among the elite.

Now firmly established as a powerhouse, the Stars continue to build on that success with a strong culture of development, competitiveness, and teamwork.

The program is led by Head Coach Jim Jensen, who will enter his third season at the helm in the 2026–2027 season. Under his leadership, the Stars aim to continue their tradition of excellence and growth.

Gentry Academy girls hockey is open to students in grades 7 through 12, providing opportunities for athletes to develop and compete at a high level while fostering success both on and off the ice.
